Today begins our technique week!  If you would like to see what days we will be working on what movements, check out Friday’s Post.

Check out some of the old posts we have on squatting:

During Squat day, the coaches will be going through the basic mechanics of how to do an air squat, front squat, back squat and overhead squat.  We will also be going over mobility exercises to help you get into a better position in your squat.  Check out the video below from K-Star at the Games explaining the importance of creating torque while squatting.

Please post to the comments after you attend today’s class to let us know what you learnt that will improve your squat.

Prelims Testing – Monday 10:30-12pm and Tuesday 6:30-7:30pm

Today’s Workout:

“Tabata Squrpees

Tabata Squats (4 intervals)
Tabata Burpees (4 intervals)

  3. Craigger09-18-12

Just wanted to say how cool it was that you tube recommended that I watch a video about Lucas after that Kelly Starret video.

  4. jesse09-18-12

Was very interesting to learn about all the small mechanics that go on and what you should be thinking about as you squat.

  5. piano chords am f04-15-13

When you’re learning chords, you learn and study them for only One Key at a time. Www. Piano players that struggle are the ones that don’t play
    with passion and feeling.
