Headed to Regionals!

Will the Bruce’s be competing on the Zone team together???

Congratulations to all the Zoners that took part in the CrossFit Open.  It was was a great experience for everyone, some athletes hitting new PRs on lifts/movements and then for reps!   It was a real eye opener for some athletes of what they need to spend some extra time working on.  Our team is headed to the Canada West Regionals on June 7-9th at the Richmond Olympic Oval  (6111 River Rd. Richmond, British Columbia V7C 0A2).  We finished the Open 25th place out of 76 affiliates in Canada West.  Our placings in the Open were WOD 1 – 19th, WOD 2-  29th, WOD 3 – 24th, WOD 4- 32nd, and WOD 5 – 12th.  Make sure to book that weekend off so you can be a part of the cheering squad!!!

Let’s give a big shout out to Stephanie from the Westshore, who placed first in Canada West and is headed to the GAMES in July competing in the Masters category 55-59!!!!

When you see the athletes in the gym, make sure to congratulate them for their performance in the CrossFit Open.

 Buy In – Mobility

Strength – Overhead Squat 5 x 5 E2M

Zone 1 – light weight working on perfect technique

WOD

3 Rounds for time:
Run: 400M
Push Up: 15
Dip: 10

Zone 4 – scale dip reps as needed
Zone 3 – scale to assisted dips
Zone 2 – scale to knee pushups, jumping dips
Zone 1 – scale as needed

Cash Out – 5 way shoulder stretch
