When Deanna started teaching Crossfit in the park in 2008 she didn’t realize how her idea for a business would lead to the creation of such an amazing community of people. We want to thank all of our members and express to you how much we value our relationship with you, and that we hope your relationship with us will continue for years to come.
To continue serving the needs, and of all our members, for years to come, we know that we need to continue learning and growing as a gym. That’s why we joined the MadLab business group a few years ago, to gain access to fitness programming and research from all around the world.
One of the things we’ve learned, and that’s been backed up by our own experience, is that Crossfit has gotten a lot of bad press. People think it’s unsafe, too intimidating, too extreme or too hard. You and I know that Crossfit is really just functional fitness, and functional fitness is the really the best way to get strong, get fit, and to keep you healthy for sport or life. And as evidenced by the turnout on Saturday, it’s a great way to meet people, and become part of a really supportive community.
We want this to be a gym that everyone would want to come to, and where everyone can have access to functional fitness regardless of their health, lifestyle, or sport-related goals. And, so we wanted to change our name to ensure we can appeal to a larger audience, and keep our Zone community vibrant and thriving for years to come. So with that in mind, we’re proud to reveal our new sign and our new brand:
Strength and Fitness Zone
Our new tagline: ‘prescription for a great life’really sums up what we want to achieve here, helping everyone to get the amazing life that they want.
Our new Website will be ready soon and we look forward to being able to share that with you in the coming days.
For our existing members, you may not at first notice any difference in your experience. We will have the same great coaches, the same vigorous classes, the same strength building programming. And Yes we will be keeping our CrossFit Affiliate.
We hope, however, that you’ll soon see a few more new faces in your classes, so that we can continue to grow and invest in quality equipment, and coaching, add specialty classes, and more to help you have a great life.
