There are two things about CrossFit that are arguably inevitable:

1) If you show up often and work hard you WILL get stronger.  And 2) Eventually, you WILL rip your hands during a workout.

While one of those inevitabilities is a lot more appealing than the other, don’t despair just yet…  Take heart, because there are specific things you can do to help keep your hands healthy and minimize the risk of those dreaded and oh-so-painful rips!

Today’s Workout

Buy-in: Power snatch tech – coach demo then 10 min warming up and practicing

WOD:  Zone Games WOD 2 – Stop, Drop, and Roll

15-12-9-6-3 reps for time of:

  • power snatch (65/95)
  • barhop burpees
  • box jumps (20/24)
  • Athletes from Zone Games – take a rest day or come in and work on rolling/mobility

Zone 3 – scale bar weight to 55/75

Zone 2 – scale bar weight as needed, scale box height as needed

Zone 1 – scale WOD as needed

Cash-Out: foam roll and lacrosse ball – roll all major muscle groups!
