CrossFit Victoria BC - Box Jumps

That’s right, there is one more sleep until the FGB/BBBS Victoria Fundraiser Challenge.  Please come down and support the team as they battle it out for max reps and raising money by pledges/per point.

The event starts at 10:00am and will run till approximately 2:00pm.  There will be 5 heats every 30 minutes.   The day will go as follows:

10:00am - Introduction to the FGB workout, exercises and rules.

10:15am - Group 1 Warmup up

10:30am - Group 1 Workout, Group 2 Warmup up

11:00am - Group 2 Workout, Group 3 Warmup up

11:30am - Group 3 Workout, Group 4 Warmup up

12:00pm - Group 4 Workout, Group 5 Warmup up

12:30pm - Group 5 Workout

1:00pm - Tally up the points and start up the BBQ!

1:30pm - 50/50 draw and prizes!

One member from each team will compete in each heat.  While one team member is competing, another will be counting reps, one team member will be warming up and the rest of the team will be cheering!

Today’s Workout:

Buy In - Overhead Squat 6-6-6-6

WOD -

Elite:  4 Rounds for time:

  • 500M run
  • 20 Burpees
  • 30 Situps

Zone 2: 4 Rounds for time:

  • 400M run
  • 10 Burpees
  • 20 Situps

Zone 1: 3 Rounds for time:

  • 400M run
  • 10 Burpees
  • 20 Situps

Cash Out - Full body stretch, hit up the foam roller

*** If you are competing in the FGB Challenge on Saturday and want to still get in a workout, work on form, not increasing the load for the overhead squats and scale down the zone for the wod ***

    yes sean, it IS your kind of workout but like your better half suggests, a lot of workouts succumb to your spidey powers… hope all is well with your globetrotting, will miss you on Sat.

    Great workout tonight (thurs) gang! lots of energy and drive from you all, you did me proud!

    That’s a valid point there T-Bops :-), I do enjoy pretty much every workout, however, there are some I am better at than others.

    no… I would too…. But, I am praying to have a complete recovery by tomorrow :) The neck is feeling much better. The question is…. can I do it rx’d. lot’s of vitamin I should do the trick!

    tommy, those jitters are just like pre-game rugby nerves… they mean you’re getting ready!!

    looking forward to giving this one a good go tomorrow, I’ve been wallowing in semi-mediocrity for a while with the metcons - anything over 322 and I’m happy (thanks for the goal Sean haha).

    I’m going to be running this on the ship too, modified a bit…let you all know how it goes
    (I’m trying to sneak more and more crossfit workouts into the morning PT here, heheheh)

    Went pretty well, there are certian things we just can’t do (box jumps) so I substituted other things. everyone seemed to like it so that was good
